All SCDSB schools and adult learning centres will be closed to students on Friday, Feb. 21, as there will not be sufficient supervision to ensure student safety. Transportation for all SCDSB students will be cancelled on Feb. 21.

Before and after school programs in our buildings will not operate. Parents/guardians who have children in full-day child care in SCDSB schools should contact their provider directly.

Although coming up short to a strong team, the girls played well. Mr. Williamson would like each and every one of you to look back on the season and be proud of where you girls ended up as a team. You showed the commitment, skill level and attitude that it takes to be champions, but sometimes it doesn't fall into place. Put your answers in the box in the library for a chance to win a Tim Horton's gift card.</p><p> </p><p>Attention Tritons!  You don't need to panic about the Corona Virus: the risk to Canadians remains low.  So, how can we Tritons protect ourselves anyway?  First, wash your hands often for 20 seconds, or about 16 bars of your favourite song, especially after being in a public place.  Second, avoid touching your face, and get your fingers out of your nose!  Third, cough and sneeze into your sleeve to avoid broadcasting your gross germs all over the cafeteria buffet. These tips will keep you safe from all viruses, including the flu or strep throat.  We Canadians have a strong medical system in place to protect us from dangerous viruses like Corona, so don't panic!  But don't dig boogers either.</p><p> </p><p>Attention Triton Grads! Again, junior girls volleyball meeting in room 216 at the beginning of lunch. </p><p> </p><p>Yesterday Nantyrs Wrestling Team traveled to Bear Creek to compete in the GBSSA finals. Although the team is down a few members, those who were able to compete showed that there was no holding back when it came to Triton spirit and toughness. </p><p>Austin went toe to toe with the best wrestlers in this area and after a long day he came out on top clinching first place and earning the title of Heavy Weight Champion.</p><p>Isaiah proved that he would not back down from a fight and was a dominate force all day only losing 1 match to earn second place. </p><p>Both wrestlers need to be congratulated on their performances as they both earned themselves the right to compete at the OFSAA finals coming up in March.</p><p>Honourable mention goes out to Caleb who although he is injured was the best camera man all day.</p><p> </p><p>Congratulations to the following Tritons of the Week who display a positive attitude with their classes throughout the day: Kailyn, Madison, Curtis, Brooke and Alex. </p><p> </p><p>Hey Tritons we are selling spirit wear today and next week in the main hall at lunch!
