This day in History: On December 17, 1903, Near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina , Orville and Wilbur Wright make the first successful flight in history of a self-propelled, heavier-than-air
aircraft. Orville piloted the gasoline-powered, propeller-driven biplane, which stayed aloft for 12 seconds and covered 120 feet on its inaugural flight.
Fun Fact of the day! Centuries ago, sleigh bells were fastened to horses to signal the approach of someone important or to warn pedestrians of an approaching vehicle. Sleighs were unable to stop quickly enough so they needed a warning sound.
Attention Tritons! We have one more day to Sock it to Us for charity. Christmas 4 Kids need new sock donations! Help make a difference in someone’s winter by dropping off a pair of new socks in the bin by the triton holiday tree.
Christmas food drive: It’s not to late to make a donation for the food drive. On line donation payments are available on school cash on line.
This Week is SPIRIT WEEK! Today is PJ Day, and tomorrow is colour day! Thanks to everyone wearing their PJ today! Go Triton Pride!
