French & International Languages

At The Shores, the French and International Languages Department is made up of 4 energetic and committed professionals who love to travel, learn, and speak the language in which they specialize. All teachers have a different experience and background with the languages we offer and it is evident in their daily practice. As a whole, our end goal is to inspire a love for languages and cultures while ensuring each student builds their confidence and success to communicate in all 4 areas: reading, writing, listening and speaking. We strive to create a positive learning environment where all are accepted and valued, and having fun! We offer different experiences for students to deepen their understanding through field trips, cooking and tasting new foods, and reading authentic materials. We have worked hard to provide students with authentic yet practical situations to further strengthen their languages knowledge and skills!
